I just started researching negative ion bands. From all I have read I believe that negative ions are healthy and beneficial. HOWEVER, I can not find any information on how the band retains these negative ions, emits them, and how long these charges last?
Reply: From my own research, this seems to vary massively from band to band. Manufacturers measure ion content in different ways, but it would seem that the most uniform method is to use an electronic "ion counter". These instruments measure ion output, for want of a better phrase and, if tracked over time this will give you a measure of the overall ion content and rate of decay.
The results achieved with ion counters varies greatly from product to product, and sometimes from band to band. I wish you luck establishing the ion contents of your band(s)
