Menopause Physiology. What is it?
And what can you do about it?

The menopause is something that comes eventually to all women.

It is therefore a perfectly normal, natural process that, whilst it can be distressing, annoying or downright unbearable, little can be done to change.

All bad news? Actually - no, it's not. Whilst the menopause itself is something you can't avoid, you CAN do something about the distressing symptoms, some of which are nothing to do with the menopause itself!

To all intents and purposes, the female body has been around, largely unchanged for hundreds of thousands of years. However, in the past 100 years or so, various "womens" problems have come to light, which didn't seem to be a problem before. The issue is therefore not so much one of changing physiology, but how the body responds to the ever-increasing load of chemicals it encounters, many of which effect estrogen-like effects on various body systems.

We will call these toxins "estrogen-mimicking chemicals"
